Age 3 is the youngest for our players. At this age, we focus on the ABC's (Agility, Balance and Coordination) of soccer. We know that ball mastery, ball manipulation and learning in a fun, fast-paced environment is key to a young child's development.
Your child will need a soccer ball (size 3 or 4 for younger kids), shin guards, soccer cleats, and a water bottle. We offer uniforms. More details are available during registration.
For younger children, practices are usually 1-2 times per week, with a game on weekends. As kids get older, practice schedules may increase depending on the team and league.
Game times vary by age. For kids under 6, games are usually around 20-30 minutes. For ages 6-13, games range from 40 to 60 minutes with halves or quarters depending on the league.

Yes, soccer is considered a safe sport for young children. Leagues for younger age groups focus on non-contact play, and proper equipment (such as shin guards) helps prevent injuries.
If your child enjoys the game, is eager to improve, and thrives in a team environment, they may be ready for a more competitive level. Talk to their coach about the next steps.
Make sure your child has lots of touches on the ball. This can be done outside in the yard, basement, hallway, garage or park.
